29 Prior to the issuance of any disciplinary action, an employee shall be provided basic due process (Loudermill Rights) whereby the supervisor shall provide the employee, orally or in writing, with (1) notice of the alleged offense, (2) an explanation of the available evidence, and (3) an opportunity to respond. These due process rights may be provided in a meeting or, when a meeting is not possible, in writing. Information about employee rights and appeals related to disciplinary action may be found in the Employee Misconduct Policy and Procedures.
