In traditional and alternative learning environments, we anticipate and respond to the needs of our local, regional, and global communities.87 The Frederick Community College’s mission is operationalized by its purpose in law and its context within higher education to improve student success, provide job training, and promote economic development88 Accordingly, the scan focuses on these four domains (i.e., demographics, education, employment, and economy). The five impact domains are equally alluded to in the mission statement (i.e., global, national, regional, state, and local.)
