This course is meant as a follow up to Drawing for Beginners or for those who already have some basic drawing skills. This course is a skillsbased course. Using basic shapes and the face mapping method, described by artist and author, Pam Carriker, students will build an accurate sketch of the human head/face. The inclusion of shading will help to create the illusion of three-dimensional forms. This course is designed for students with previous drawing experience. All supplies are included. Using acrylic paint, students will create one or two paintings capturing the brush stroke, style, and techniques of master artists. Though this is considered a beginner course, some drawing or painting experience (in any medium) is highly recommended. We suggest taking Drawing for Beginners (ACR170) and Acrylic Painting Techniques for Beginners (ACR166) first.
