With a different focus each day, students will delve into writing pieces in a variety of literary genres. Participate in activities that will get your creative juices flowing and the ideas soaring. This class is designed for students who enjoy creative writing. KOC658 Board Game Designs That Won’t Make You Bored AGES 8-12 Board games provide a chance to socialize with friends and learn new skills and facts. Explore games of the world before creating your own to share with the class. Develop gaming strategies, exercise thinking skills, and learn new information as you use your imagination to design and build a game that is sure to bring your family and friends to the table, the game table that is! KOC737 Dungeons and Dragons Adventures AGES 12-15 It’s not a strange thing to quest with friends in a cooperative, storytelling adventure. Use your imagination to learn the basics of Dungeons and Dragons role playing, guided by an experienced dungeon master. Each student will receive a set of dice for future play. KOC744 Writer’s Workshop AGES 8-11 Do you want to turn your great ideas into stories you can share? Then the Writer’s Workshop is for you and let your imagination be your guide! Through exercises and collaboration, students will practice shaping their ideas into stories. Writing prompts and instructor feedback will help students create and polish elements of short fiction to craft stories to share with peers.
