KOCSummer2023

Kids on Campus • Summer 2023 1 6 Medical Treatment Staff take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety of the children in the KOC Program and provide appropriate supervision at all times. Scraped knees, nose bleeds, bee stings, and other injuries occasionally happen. KOC staff will follow the State regulations for minor injuries. The regulations state that staff can treat injuries with soap, water, ice, and bandages. If a child is injured or feeling ill, KOC staff will bring the individual to the KOC office for treatment and/or a short observation. All incidents are logged in the KOC health log and parents receive a copy of the incident report. If a child feels ill, staff will assess the situation and determine if the child can return to class or should leave for the day. If the child needs to leave class because of illness or more serious injury, the parent will be notified and is expected to pick up their child immediately. If FCC or KOC staff deem a situation an emergency, staff will immediately call 911 for medical assistance and/or transport, then notify the parent as quickly as possible. Marketing / Campus Photography As Frederick Community College is a public institution, students, employees and visitors may be photographed or videotaped and appear in marketing materials without prior permission. To that degree, children may be photographed or videotaped while at FCC. If you wish to have your child(ren) excluded from these activities, please indicate this request on the KOC Student Information Form. KOC Refund Policy Cancellations All students will be refunded 100% of class tuition and fees if a class is canceled by the College. To withdraw from a class, use the process below: • Drop requests must be dated, include the course title to be dropped, and submitted to [email protected] no later than the Monday prior to class start date. • Drop requests made after the Monday prior to class start date are not eligible for a refund. Students with extenuating circumstances may use the Drop Request – After Deadline process. • Requests for drops or refunds left on voicemail cannot be processed. Refunds If eligible, a full refund will be automatically processed back to the credit/debit card on file. Cash/check payments will receive a check usually within 10-14 business days. Drop Request – After Deadline Students requesting to drop a class after the deadline, which is the Monday preceding the start of the class, must email YouthPrograms@ frederick.edu.
