We’ll abandon the auto & program modes and learn how the three major functions (aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings) work. Particular attention will be given to how they influence one another and how you can determine which one is most important for getting the picture you want. We will review secondary level settings such as resolution, color space, metering modes, white balance and more. You’ll also learn about techniques and accessories that can help you produce even better photos. Students should review their camera’s user manual prior to class and familiarize themselves with how to adjust settings since camera functions may vary between brands. This course is not appropriate for point and shoot or phone cameras.
