Is your Web content as effective as it could be? In this course, you’ll gain

tips for crafting content to make your website or blog into an exciting

multimedia place for visitors. You’ll learn how to develop a website

writing style that speaks to your readers’ needs and ensures that your

content is clear and easy-to-understand. We’ll explore ways your Web

copywriting can convey the right ‘’feel’’ through your content, how to get

conversations going with your visitors, and how to organize your content

to produce better search engine rankings and happier readers. But

today’s Web is about a lot more than words. You’ll also explore all kinds

of multimedia from images to infographics to slideshows to screencasts,

as well as ways to encourage interaction with your readers, such as polls,

surveys, and quizzes. By the end of this course, your content will be well

IT CERTIFICATION PREPARATION

CCNA: Networking III

This course provides a comprehensive, theoretical, and practical approach

to learning the technologies and protocols needed to design and

implement a converged switched network. Students learn about the

hierarchical network design model and how to select devices for each

layer. The course explains how to configure a switch for basic functionality

and how to implement Virtual LANs, VTP, Inter-VLAN routing, and

Spanning Tree Protocol in a converged network. In conjunction with the

Cisco Networking Academy, students also develop the knowledge and

skills necessary to implement a WLAN in a small to medium network.

Most class lessons, materials, and labs are accessed via the web; however,

students and instructor also will interact at scheduled times via online

classroom and will require two Saturday meetings. Meeting dates

and times will be scheduled by the instructor and enrollees. Students

must have a personal computer and Internet access (broadband is

recommended) to complete online assignments and exams. Students

must take Networking II before registering into this course.

Note:

This course is not available for online registration. Registrations

will be accepted at the Welcome and Registration Center at FCC’s main

campus, Jefferson Hall, 1st floor. For more information, contact Adrienne

CCNA: Networking IV

This course covers the WAN technologies and network services required

by converged applications in Enterprise Networks. Students learn how to

implement and configure common data link protocols and how to apply

WAN security concepts, principles of traffic, access control and addressing

services. Natural Address Translation (NAT) and DHCP services are also

covered. Most class lessons, materials, and labs are accessed via the web;

however, students and instructor also will interact at scheduled times

via online classroom and will require two Saturday meetings with the
