Cards for Divination, Brainstorming,
Creativity, and Fun
1 session, 3 hours
In today’s world, Tarot is no longer simply the tool of fortune
tellers but is used by many for personal growth and creativity.
This class will discuss what tarot is and isn’t. You will learn how
a deck is arranged and provide an overview of card meanings.
Attendees will end the course reading the cards. No need to bring
a deck of cards, they will be available for class use.
Instructor:
Mary Mannix has been a professional tarot
educator and reader for over five years. She read and held classes
at The Owl Nest, Frederick’s former premier metaphysical store.
She has taught “101 courses” and hosted “meet-ups.” Mary
now regularly participates at Illuminate Festivals in Maryland.
A librarian and historian in her other life, Mary strives to not
only interpret the cards during a reading, but to also help her
querents understand the history and symbolism of the cards
they are dealt.
