LEGO® Robot Races
Students will design and build robots using Lego Mindstorm kits. The fun and
competition ensues as they set up challenges and roadblocks using a computer
and an infrared transmitter. Whose robot can win the speed race? Whose
robot can get through the obstacle the fastest? Combining enthusiasm and
imagination, have a blast with robotics fun!

Battle Robots with LEGOs®
Design and build remote controlled robots using Lego Mindstorm kits.
Once you’ve mastered challenges like building a robot with the fewest
number of pieces, or using only one motor, engage your robot in battle
with others. With a new challenge each day, students will use problem
solving skills to strategize how their team’s robot can morph to win battles
and become a tournament champion. If you have a big imagination and
like to build, this is the class for you.

Once you’ve designed and built remote control robots using Lego Mindstorm
kits, engage your robot in skirmishes with others, and complete maneuvering,
distance, and battle challenges. With new contests and encounters each day,
students will learn how to incorporate advanced programming skills and
various types of sensors into their robot to take it to the next level.
Note: This class is designed for students who have previously taken
Battle Robots.

Students will become familiar with the characters and history of the Star Wars
series as they build vehicles and structures using LEGO kits. Working in small
groups, students will develop their fine motor skills, think in three dimension,
problem solve, and develop lateral thinking skills as they build from various Star
Wars LEGO® kits, including the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium, AT-AT, and the Imperial
Assault Carrier. Explore the world of Star Wars!
