lawyers as well as individual patients and their families are called upon to solve. Examines

including euthanasia and prolongation of life, genetic intervention, behavior control,

experimenting with human subjects, etc.

Prepares practical nursing students to provide care for adult and pediatric clients systems

with commonly recurring physiological, psychological and developmental health problems.

The Neuman Systems Model is used as the framework for the course. Supervised clinical

experiences on medical-surgical and pediatric units in the hospital as well as observation in

community-based centers are provided.
