Develops introductory algebra skills. Topics include variables and algebraic expressions, order of

operations, graphing and solving linear equations, like terms, the distributive law, applications

of linear equations, systems of linear equations, polynomials, factoring, and rational

expressions. Technology is integrated with traditional skills practice throughout the course.

set theory, classification of numbers, algebra, financial management, geometry, measurement

and right triangle trigonometry, probability, statistics, graphs, systems of equations, linear

programming, graph theory, and voting theory. Students cannot receive credit for both MA 103

and MA 103A.
