The Ukulele: Tiny Instrument, Great Big Fun!
Learning to play this popular instrument is easy and fun. Get to know the
ukulele, master a few chords, put them altogether, and entertain your family
and friends. Ukuleles will be provided for class time but students are welcome
to bring their own.

Build the Beat: Electronic Music Creation
Technology has completely altered the way in which musicians today create,
produce, and perform. Using digital software, learn about “at home” recording,
layering, and making mash-ups. Students will spend time each day creating
songs, and will share their accomplishments with family and friends on the
last day of class.

Do you have vocal or instrumental talent, but need a recording to prove it?
Discover how to make a high quality recording suitable for posting online,
submitting in scholarship applications, or just building a portfolio. While using
FCC’s recording studio and computer lab, learn the basic concepts relating to
audio, microphones, and digital audio systems. This class culminates in the
completion of a short demo recording of your talents.

Kids Take Over the Kitchen
Cook up delicious from-scratch recipes you can try for breakfast, lunch, or
dinner. Measure and mix ingredients using a variety of cooking tools as you
learn the basics of ‘’kitchenology.’’ A variety of items will be prepared, and each
week we’ll bake cupcakes and learn simple techniques of cake decoration.
Learning to cook is so sweet! All levels of cooking experience are welcome.
