Empower Yourself: Personal Safety, CPR and
Smart Thinking
Be the best you can be, and help those around you as well. In addition to basic
first aid and CPR, this class will explore positive and practical solutions in how
to protect yourself and others from violence or harm. Learn how and when to
say “no” to uncomfortable or inappropriate situations, endorse anti-bullying
behavior, and acquire techniques for preventing and escaping dangerous
situations. CPR will be taught, but students will not become certified. “You have
brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any
direction you choose”- Dr. Suess
