Strategic Priority 8: Establish Interprofessional Education Curricular Offerings


 Desired Outcomes:
 1.   Faculty and staff trained in developing IPE curricular experiences across the spectrum of IPE
 2.   Established and ongoing IPE curricular experiences that cross the spectrum of 1) informational, 2) simulation , and 3) integrated

 community/ clinical experiences that are intra and inter-departmental
 3.   Building renovations that support the ongoing work of the departments as well as new IPE initiatives
 4.   IT hardware on established lifecycle tracking through IT
 5.   Improved students outcomes as measured by clinical / community performance and IPE assessments

    Identify common topics/ learning intersections between academic departments

    Provide recommendations to building renovation designs and IT needs (L and E?) that support IPE activities
    Initiate at least one intradepartmental IPE curricular experience around IPEC Core Competencies

    Evaluate effectiveness of IPE involvement using IPE assessment tool
    Offer summer 2020 Institute (3days with pre and post work) – 1 credit for IPE training/ Phase 1 development
 FY 21   Establish with IT new technology and establish life cycle, maintenance, replacement requirements
    Add a minimum of one intra-departmental IPE curricular experience involving simulation

    Complete planning for interdepartmental /cross campus IPE curricular experience involving simulation
    Evaluate effectiveness of IPE additions (informational and simulation) to the curriculum examining student outcomes on
 clinical internships, IPE assessment tools
    Showcase the emergency management and public safety interprofessional model at the annual FEMA Emergency

 Management Institute Symposium or another national platform as appropriate
    Offer summer 2021 Institute (3 days with pre and post work) – 1 credit for IPE training/ Phase 2 development
 FY 22   Add to ongoing IPE an interdepartmental / cross campus IPE simulation curricular experience

    Evaluate effectiveness of ongoing IPE experiences using student learning outcomes, clinical / site performance
    Complete planning for inter/intra-departmental community/ clinical integrated IPE curricular offering
